I bought a new sewing machine at the beginning of the year. My old one (and very first one) is at my mom's, and she has always used it a lot. I didn't want to take her sewing machine away from her. Besides, I can't deny that a shiny new sewing machine holds a lot of appeal. I really haven't used it much mainly because I have no where to set it up and leave it. It's frustrating to have to drag out the case and set it up just to put it back in the case every time I need to sew something. I stumbled upon a few projects I really wanted to work on. I decided to set my machine up on a card table in my bedroom "temporarily".
So far this is working out okay. I know it can not stay here forever. First I made a few rice bags.
Now I am working on a Christmas card holder. I have all of the stitching done. Now I have to go by some plywood. I will post pictures of that project in my next blog. Now I have to go find someone with a jig saw.
